Bollywood Bold Actor Farhan Akhtar is considered to be serious person but during the shooting of his home production Bollywood Upcoming Movie in 2010 Karthik Calling Karthik with Hot Deepika Padukone, unit member revealed his fun-loving side.



For a scene from the film Farhan to have a telephone wire wound around his neck, the filmmaker actor decided to give a scare to the cast and the crew of the film by pretending he was choking.

Since it was a delicate scene, director wanted a rehearsal but he couldn’t trust anyone from the crew to show Farhan how the scene had to be done. He didn’t want to Farhan to be hurt. So he took the rope and very cautiously tied it around the actor’s neck while instructing the kind of moves he wanted. When director Vijay Lalwani exerted pressure while tying a telephone wire around Farhan’s neck, the actor collapsed.

Crewmembers tried everything but nothing worked. This is where Lalwani panicked. He started shouting for an ambulance. His face turned pale and he was almost on the verge of tears.

After a while Farhan opened his eyes and started laughing. Sources continue that Farhan and few members of the unit planned this prank on Lalwani. Poor director Vijay lalwani didn’t think it was funny.

Amitabh Bachchan - Big B agrees to become Brand Ambassador of Gujarat.

Bollywood Legend Amitabh Bachchan has agreed to become brand ambassador of Gujarat to promote its tourism potential and other development works.



This was conveyed by the actor in a letter to Chief Minister Narendra Modi, official sources said today.



In January, Mr Bachhan was in Gandhinagar City Gujarat to seek Mr Modi's help for his new film 'Paa', which was later exempted from tax by the Gujarat State Government. Both viewed the film at a multiplex also.



On that occasion, Mr Bachchan was much impressed with Mr Modi's style of functioning and had offered to promote the state's tourism potential.

Aamir Khan Father Tahir Hussain, well-known filmmaker, died of a massive heart attack here Tuesday morning, sources close to the family said.



He is survived by his wife and two sons, Aamir and Faisal, and two daughters, Farhat and Nikhat.



Hussain is known for producing hits like "Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke" (1993) that starred son Aamir, "Dulha Bikta Hai" (1982), "Zakhmee" (1975), "Anamika" (1973) and "Caravan" (1971).



Brother of prominent writer-producer-director Nasir Hussain, Tahir Hussain produced around a dozen films though he wasn't as successful as his brother. The only film he directed was Tum Mere Ho starring son Aamir Khan but the film flopped.



In later years Tahir had a strained relationship with his son Aamir. Reportedly Aamir dissociated from his father when Hussain tried to raise finance for his film using Aamir's name. Tahir remarried and moved out with his second wife.



Family sources said Hussain died at Aamir Khan Residence Bandra. Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao are in the US for the Sundance Festival and are taking the first flight home. Hussain's grandson, Imran Khan, who made his debut with "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na", is in New Zealand and will also be coming back. Funeral hold on 3^rd Feb.-2010 Wednesday morning.

Arjun Rampal said that, “My National Award 2010 made my family emotional”

Bollywood Bold Actor Arjun Rampal, who has been declared the best supporting actor at the 56th National Film Awards for his performance in Director Abhishek Kapoor's "Rock On!” says that it was a very emotional moment for his family.

"It's a real honor and a wonderful feeling. It's a big one. It's a very emotional moment for everybody in my family. It was same for my friends and whole team of 'Rock On!' as well," Rampal told IANS.

Asked about Arjun Rampal Wife Mehr Jesia's reaction, he said, " I won't tell you whether she cried or not, but definitely she became very, very emotional."

The story of "Rock On!" is about five band stars as once-aspiring musicians who chucked up their dream of taking their band professional. But a chance reunion ten years later inspires them to consider returning for one last gig.

Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Luke Kenny played the lead roles in the film.

Rampal celebrated the occasion with the team of "Rock on!" at his house.

"We are going to party tonight at my house. We are going to start now, as a part of celebration," said Rampal.

The actor, who has recently opened up a restro-bar named LAP Lounge And Party in Delhi as joint venture with Restaurateur AD Singh, is going to celebrate there too, very soon.

"I am looking forward to celebrate in LAP soon," said Rampal.

Bollywood Bold Actor Aamir Khan has been selected for the prestigious Padma Bhushan award on the occasion of 60th Republic Day. The 44 year old actor has been riding high with the success of his Bollywood Hit Movie 3 Idiots which has broken all Box Office records to become the highest grosser in the history of Bollywood. Aamir's name has been doing the rounds ever since he impressed everyone with his directorial debut Taare Zameena Par.

Bollywood Diva of yesteryears Rekha and Chhote Nawab Saif Ali Khan-Saifu have been chose for the Padma Shri award. Interestingly Saif's father and legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi has also won the Padma Shri award in 1967. Others who won the Padma Shri include cricketer Virender Sehwag and badminton star Saina Nehwal.
